<description>I bought this product for my young son at christmas. I got what I expected, knowing Hornby is expensive. My son loves playing with it, even though it is just the basic oval track. It sells for ages 4 plus , my son is 4, but I think it is far to delicate for him just to play without supervision, the Annie and Clarabel carraiges are easily broken and are certainly no good for a train loving 4 year old to play with robustly. The train itself is more sturdy, but again think carefully before spending money on it whether the child is quite ready to have to be so carefull when playing. He tries to push the engine but it won&#039;t freewheel and it may damage the electric motor and contacts. It should have a higher age rating on it.
