was going to put this on my christmas list but the library got it first. So very glad!!!!!!! biggest pile of dross I have ever read, yes I did battle through to the end. I gave it 1 star and that was for the artwork on the cover, first and definately the last I will read from this author.

This is the first book in this series that I have read and it will be my last. I found it confusing and ultimately boring – nothing much happened. I also found the constant references to ‘the wife’ irritating and also the use of the f word which seemed to lack any purpose. I did not finish this book.

The description of the condition of this book was extremely accurate. The book had a very small ding in the cover although it took me quite a while to find it!!!
Fast delivery and a very good deal!

I waited some time for the latest Jim Stringer and found it a bit disappointing when I finally got to read it. The hopping back and forth in time might be a trendy way to write novels but it doesn’t do much for this one.

Having bought all the books in the series I get the feeling that the quality is now in a steady decline. The first few books were very good but a lack of direction seems to be creeping in.
The story jumps about and doesn’t seem to flow naturally.
Not an enjoyable read for me and I’ll probably give this series a miss from now on.
