This is a good children’s book, and we have found the addition of story CDs excellent for bedtime or long car journeys.

Excellent, my grandson thoroughly enjoyed the story and loved to be able to play the cd whenever he liked.

My little boy has not put this book down since it was read to him. Perhaps this has something to do with the imaginative reading of it by his mother. The little red train clickety clacks along the track, whoo whoo’s through the tunnel, puffs past the river and slows to a stop at the station. Very clear illustrations with items to point at introducing a growing toddler to new words. A must for anyone who enjoys using their imagination to bring on their child.

The story is very simple and the illustrations are very detailed allowing children to dicover something new all the time.
The story repeats itself and the very young children will enjoy pretending to read it.
It stimulates discussion between the adult and the child.
A great book for pre-school children.

this book rates as one of my son’s favourite books – and we have a great selection here- it is ideal for 3-6 year olds even if they are not mad about trains

it tells the story of an eventful journey this little steam train takes to bring relief to a snowbound village

the illustrations are wonderful – witty, colourful and exciting and vividly bring to life an era of country living which has almost gone and is totally unfamiliar to the vast majority of town born children

as the mother of 4 children who all love books i cannot rate this one highly enough

buy it

the text is lyrical, funny with just the right amount of repetitive train sounds ideal for a child to join in
